Pilates is a form of exercise that emphasises core strength, flexibility, and mindful movement. Yoga is a multifaceted practice that integrates physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to promote harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.
As physiotherapists, we see the need for individuals living with chronic illness or pain to exercise. These individuals are not always comfortable or ready to join mainstream forms of exercises. Sometimes they may never be able to join mainstream forms of exercise again due to cancer, arthritis or chronic pain. At IR Physio we integrate these forms of exercise into your rehabilitation program and/or create a class that is at the right level for your condition. A qualified physiotherapist will be guiding you during your class in order to minimise injury and strengthen the body at its own pace.
All humans require movement. The aim is to find the right movement for you.
